The first trip up...they went up 3 1/2 times to equal the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. There were also 343 guys who participated that equaled the number of fire fighters that lost their lives 9 years ago today.

The Pinnacle Building has a panoramic view of downtown Nashville on the 22nd floor. The guys ended the 110 stories on this floor.

That is so awesome that Derek got to participate in that event. Such a special way to remember!
That is such a beautiful memorial. I thought it was really touching that they each wore badges bearing the name of a firefighter who lost their life that day.
