Our day started out really well. Kylah fed herself her breakfast - nice break for me, we went to Nana and Poppy's for lunch, and then the "adventure" began. After lunch and a visit, Derek and I left Kylah to visit a little longer with Nana and Poppy while we took a quick trip to Uncle Lee's in Greenville. This was to be a quick trip and we would be back within 2 hours (or so we thought). When we got in the car after leaving Uncle Lee's, it wouldn't start, but was making a strange sound and the gauges would try to do something, but not much. Luckily, a nice man stopped to help jump the battery. At first it didn't work, the same strange sound would happen each time I would try to start it, but it wouldn't actually start. Finally, after many attempts, the car started, BUT then when the guy unhooked the jumper cables, it went off. We tried again, it worked and Derek got us to Wal-Mart for a new battery. I was a little frazzled, wondering how we were ever going to get home. I would have been in so much trouble if I had been by myself. Luckily, Derek knew to put it in Neutral and rev the gas while we had to stop at signs and lights.
They replaced the battery and now all is well. Kylah ended up staying at Nana and Poppy's for about 4 hours instead of the original 2, but she didn't mind and I am pretty sure that they were happy to have her there.

Kylah eating breakfast. She is getting really good with a fork, as you will see in the pictures below. However, a spoon is a different story - unless it is something pretty sticky.
