Getting ready to go to church tonight.
While we were gone, Grandpa had a birthday. Today we were able to help him celebrate. We all went to eat and then back to his house for gifts, cake and ice cream (which Kylah loved!!). Kylah had a great time entertaining everyone - as usual. She loves to be the center of attention. She liked wearing the raccoon hat and dressing up. We hope that Grandpa (aka Pop Pop) had a great birthday!

This Weekend

Kylah decided that riding on daddy's shoulders was much better than walking.
Kylah decided that my tennis shoes went with her dress.

Super Star and Friends

Kylah all dressed up like a movie star at Grandma's today.
Kylah and some of her "friends".
Kya and Taryn were at church tonight. They don't go to our church, but get to come some with their Nonny and Poppy and cousin Brooke. Kylah really loves Brooke, she says her name all the time, which I think Brooke is pretty proud of.

Watching Arthur

This afternoon, Kylah rolled her high chair into the living room and sat in it to watch Arthur. She didn't want to miss any of it, as you can see, she is right on top of the tv. After her bath yesterday morning.
She always wants her hair in a towel like mommy.

Notice the shoes.

Princess Kylah

Benita, Emily and Josh came to see Kylah this afternoon. Kylah had a great time playing with them and all the goodies that they brought for her; a princess dress, princess shoes, a princess bag and a princess phone. She loves walking around in our shoes, so the shoes are a big hit. You know how much she loves carrying a purse, so she didn't want to put it down. I think that the phone was the biggest hit! She wouldn't put it down for anything. I don't know why she likes being on the phone so much.

Holiday Weekend

Monday we went to Owensboro. We ate at my all time favorite place, Olive Garden - yum! We did a little shopping for Kylah - almost all of our shopping is for Kylah it seems. Of course, while we were there, we had to visit Whittaker's Gun Shop. Secretly, I'm sure that is why Derek chose that destination. After we left there, we went to Uncle Lee's (remember where we had the dead battery?). Kylah got tired of sitting in the cart and decided to push it instead.

Monday morning, Kylah once again visited mommy's closet - she loves to get in there and play with my shoes. She came out wearing some wedge heels and actually walked around in them really well. You can see from the video that she was having a great time!

On Sunday, Kylah let me put her hair in a pony tail and she left it in there for once!! Usually she takes it out before you can even turn around. This time she left it in all the way from home, to the fire station to see daddy (and drive the truck for a few minutes), to church, all through church and back home!! Everyone at church told her how cute her pony tail looked and she would touch it to let them know she knew it was there, but she never pulled it out!! I bought her some barrets to see if she will maybe keep them in also, so far she has done a pretty good job of leaving them alone.

Oh What a Day

Our day started out really well. Kylah fed herself her breakfast - nice break for me, we went to Nana and Poppy's for lunch, and then the "adventure" began. After lunch and a visit, Derek and I left Kylah to visit a little longer with Nana and Poppy while we took a quick trip to Uncle Lee's in Greenville. This was to be a quick trip and we would be back within 2 hours (or so we thought). When we got in the car after leaving Uncle Lee's, it wouldn't start, but was making a strange sound and the gauges would try to do something, but not much. Luckily, a nice man stopped to help jump the battery. At first it didn't work, the same strange sound would happen each time I would try to start it, but it wouldn't actually start. Finally, after many attempts, the car started, BUT then when the guy unhooked the jumper cables, it went off. We tried again, it worked and Derek got us to Wal-Mart for a new battery. I was a little frazzled, wondering how we were ever going to get home. I would have been in so much trouble if I had been by myself. Luckily, Derek knew to put it in Neutral and rev the gas while we had to stop at signs and lights. They replaced the battery and now all is well. Kylah ended up staying at Nana and Poppy's for about 4 hours instead of the original 2, but she didn't mind and I am pretty sure that they were happy to have her there.

Kylah eating breakfast. She is getting really good with a fork, as you will see in the pictures below. However, a spoon is a different story - unless it is something pretty sticky.

Kylah decided that she would go through my closet this morning, this is what she looked like when she came out.

Grandma and Grandpa

On Wednesday, Kylah got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for a few hours, while Derek and I ran some errands.
